SHINGLE ROOF

Shingle roofs offer a range of options to suit different needs and budgets. The best choice depends on factors like climate, aesthetic preferences, and the structural integrity of your home.

Asphalt Shingles:
* Composition: Made from a base of fiberglass or organic materials, coated with asphalt, and finished with granules.
Types:
* 3-Tab Shingles: Have a flat appearance with three tabs along the bottom edge. They’re the most basic and economical.
* Architectural Shingles: Also known as dimensional shingles, these are thicker and have a more textured look, which can mimic other materials like wood shakes or slate.
Installation Process

1. Preparation: Ensure the roof deck is clean and in good condition. Any damaged areas should be repaired before installation.
2. Underlayment: A layer of material (synthetic) is laid down to provide an additional barrier against water.
3. Starter Course: The first row of shingles, which helps prevent leaks and ensures a uniform starting point for the rest of the shingles.
4. Shingle Placement: Shingles are installed in overlapping rows, starting from the bottom and working upwards. Each row overlaps the one below it to ensure water flows off the roof rather than seeping underneath.
5. Flashing: Metal pieces installed around roof penetrations like chimneys and vents to prevent water from getting in.
6. Ridge Cap: Shingles or other materials used to cover the peak of the roof, which helps seal the roof and provides a finished look.

We also provide:
Regular Inspections: Check for damaged or missing shingles, and ensure gutters and downspouts are clear of debris.
Cleaning: Remove leaves and other debris to prevent moss and algae growth, which can damage shingles over time.
Repairs: Address any issues promptly to prevent more extensive damage.
